01The short version
We collect the least we can get away with, we use it to run the product you signed up for, and we don't sell it. Some of what we hold — how you slept, how you felt — is genuinely personal, and we treat it that way. If you want your account and its data deleted, email us and we'll delete it.
02What we collect
- Account information. Your email address, and a display name if you give us one.
- Content you create. Whatever you make inside our products — courses, flashcards, notes, calendar entries, progress, preferences.
- Wellness entries. In Thrivync: mood check-ins, sleep times you log, rest days, stress-tool sessions, and focus-session history. You enter these; nothing is read from a health app or a wearable unless you connect one.
- Conversations with Ivyn. Messages you send our AI companion, kept so the conversation has memory and so we can investigate abuse or safety reports.
- Usage and device data. Basic diagnostics: app version, device type, crash reports, and which features were used. We use this to fix things.
- Payment records. If you subscribe, our payment processor handles your card. We receive a record that a payment happened, not your card number.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data unless a feature you actively use requires it and you grant permission.
03Why we have it
- To provide the product and keep your data available across your devices.
- To generate your study plan, courses, and progress and burnout insights.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraudulent charges.
- To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
04Wellness data, specifically
Mood, sleep, and stress entries exist to give you — and the insights we show you — an honest picture. A few commitments about that data:
- It is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, insurers, employers, or schools.
- It is not used to train advertising profiles.
- You can delete individual entries, or wipe your wellness history, without deleting your account.
- It is not a medical record and we are not a healthcare provider. Burnout-risk scores and Ivyn's summaries are informational signals, not a diagnosis. If you are struggling, please talk to a doctor, counsellor, or crisis line — not an app.
05Parent accounts
Thrivync offers an optional parent login. It is deliberately limited. A linked parent can see wellbeing signals only: sleep patterns, burnout risk, streaks, and a weekly summary.
A parent cannot read your conversations with Ivyn, your mind-dump or journal entries, your individual mood notes, your coursework, or your messages with friends. Linking requires action from the student's account, and it can be disconnected at any time.
06Who else touches it
We use a small number of service providers to operate. They may process your data only to provide their service to us:
- Hosting and database — storage of your account and content.
- Payments — subscription billing and card processing.
- Email delivery — account, receipt, and support email.
- Crash and error reporting — diagnostics on failures.
- AI model providers — where a product generates a course, an insight, or an Ivyn reply, the text needed to produce it is sent to a model provider under contract. It is not used to advertise to you, and we do not permit it to be used to train third-party models.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
07How long we keep it
Account data lives as long as your account does. Delete your account and we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we're legally required to retain (billing and tax records, typically for seven years). Backups roll off on their own schedule, generally within 90 days.
08Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold on you, correct it, export it, or delete it. If you're in the EEA or UK, that right sits under the GDPR; in California, under the CCPA/CPRA. Same email either way, and we don't charge for it or treat you differently for asking.
Write to nexzenallc@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
09Students and younger users
Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, email us and we'll remove it.
Many of our users are teenagers. Where a user is a minor under the law that applies to them, we don't use their data for targeted advertising, we don't sell it, and we apply the wellness-data commitments in section 04 without exception. A parent or guardian may contact us to review or delete their child's data.
10Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service, and we use row-level authorisation so accounts can't read each other's data. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever have a breach affecting you, we'll tell you.
11Changes
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date above and notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
